(WTNH) -- State police spokesman Lt. J. Paul Vance said "It's just simply a treacherous drive out there this morning."
Roads, ramps, bridges are slippery. He urged drivers to delay their travel if they could.
Lt. Vance also offered a reminder to drivers who are involved in an accident: the law allows you to move your car off to the side of the road and out of harms way before a trooper arrives.
He also reminded drivers to remove the snow from the hood, roof and trunk of their cars. It's the law, and violators could face a fine.
