ANDERSON, Ind. (WISH) - The Anderson, Ind. resident who starred in MTV reality show “Teen Mom” was depressed and suicidal and is now in a hospital.

Anderson Police officials say around 11:34 a.m. Tuesday, their department went to the 1300 block of Pleasant Meadow Drive after Amber Portwood called and said she was depressed and threatening to kill herself.

Portwood, 21, wasn’t injured and was taken to a local medical facility.

After appearing on “Teen Mom” punching and kicking her child’s father, Portwood pleaded guilty to related charges and was sentenced last week. She won't serve any time in jail.
