The Durham Fair is one of the largest agriculture-based fairs in the region, and this year is no exception.

There are cows of all sizes and colors, one for each generation of farmer. Participants say they've noticed the fair get larger every year. But farmers also add the same can't be said for their industry here in Connecticut.
"With the price of everything going up so much, it's hard for a lot of these farms to really keep it going," one farmer said.
"A lot of the numbers are down," said another.
But there is hope.
"When I grow up, I want to be a teacher," said a young farmer. "But I would put a cow in my backyard."
"When you see all these kids here, they are really passionate about what they do," a cattle raiser said.
It's so much more than just a fair.
