SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WTNH) -- Two Connecticut men were arrested in Springfield, Massachusetts after for propositioning an undercover police officer for sex.
Police say 49-year-old Edward Brown of New Britain left his wife in his car while he asked the officer to have sex with him after he dropped his wife off. He offered the woman $30.
47-year-old Kevin Lazzerin of East Hartford is also said to have offered the officer $30 to have sex in the back of his FedEx truck.
Seven other Massachusetts men were arrested the bust.
Springfield residents told police that prostitutes were "servicing" clients on the side streets of Main Street and Palmer Avenue in the city's South End.
On June 14, an undercover police officer arrested nine men who solicited her for sex in exchange for money. All nine arrests happened in a two hour period in the middle of the afternoon.
Police also arrested Hector Colon, 46, of Springfield who offered to give the undercover female officer a tattoo worth $50 in exchange for sex.
65-year-old Thomas Whyte of Springfield, an auto-parts delivery truck driver, was in the middle of making a delivery when he pulled over to talk to the officer.
Franco Liquori, 37, of Springfield pulled his red scooter over to offer the officer $20 in exchange for sexual favors.
Police also arrested with 40-year-old Stephen Lunardini of Wilbraham, 50-year-old Miguel Sostre of Springfield, 27-year-old Soroush Fiezifamitafresh of Springfield and 48-year-old Normand M. Evon of Monson.
All the nine men were arraigned in Springfield District court on Friday.
