More Than 750 Grams of MDMA Ecstasy Delivered to Suspect

NORWALK, Conn. (WTNH) - The Norwalk Police Department Special Services Unit were notified by The Department of Homeland Security - U.S. Customs and Border Protection that they found a package with more than 750 grams of MDMA ecstasy addressed to a Norwalk resident.

The Police Department Special Services Unit worked with the Department of Homeland Security and United States Postal Services Investigative Division to make an arrest. They set up a controlled delivery of the packages to the suspects home, Joshua Lucas (AKA Joshua Pucheta) at his home on Fairfield Avenue.  After 26-year-old Lucas signed for and accepted the packages, he was taken into custody. Investigators made sure to get a search and seizure warrant for Lucas's residence subsequent to the arrest. While they were searching the home, police say they found materials that were consistent with a drug factory setting.


Lucas is now facings multiple charges including possession of a hallucinogen, intent to sell, possession of a drug factory setting and possession of drugs withing 1500 feet of a school.
