The suspects drove at the officer, slamming into his cruiser. The suspect passenger fired one shot, the officer returned fire.
No one was hit, allowing the suspects to drive off before crashing into a tree just a block away.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH)-- A New Haven police officer and two robbery suspects exchanged gunfire during a pursuit where the suspect's crashed their car twice, on Saturday night.
Police say close to midnight, two victims reported they had been robbed by two men armed with handguns who had fled on foot on Hamilton Street toward Grand Avenue.
