Manchester, Conn (WTNH) - Manchester and Glastonbury firefighters teamed up to locate and rescue an injured hiker from Case Mountain Monday afternoon.
A 34-year-old man was hiking alone Monday afternoon when he lost his footing and fell down an embankment. The hiker was injured from the fall, but was able to call 9-1-1 from his cell phone. The hiker's name was not released.
Around 4:30pm, firefighters were dispatched to locate the injured man. Glastonbury firefighters had an all-terrain vehicle available, and responded to assist in the rescue.
