ROCKY HILL, Conn. (WTNH)-- Identical twins James and David Wang have a big day Thursday. It's graduation at Rocky Hill High School and the brothers are co-valedictorians.
"I spent my entire life with him and now finally, probably the biggest moment in our lives right now I get to share it with him. It's really cool, very special," said James.
They came to high school with the goal to graduate on top, finishing with identical grade point averages of 3.95.
"It was like having a study buddy in every single class," said David.
"Yeah and like, if I was sick one day it was really easy to get all the work from him and then catch up," said David.
Books aren't the only bond these brother's share.
"Favorite food, go," asked News 8's Nneka Nwosu.
"Fries," said the brothers.
"Favorite musical artist."
"Favorite subject at Rocky Hill High School."
There are some differences, James is one inch taller.
And now they will have new experiences. James will attend the University of Pennsylvania in the fall. He wants to be a lawyer.
David is off to NYU to study business.
As they look forward to graduation, and beyond, the twins will never forget those who helped them along the way.
"Getting this far, achieving this goal of becoming co-valedictorians really made us humble in the sense that it wasn't just us. It was our parents, it was Mr. Almeida, the administration, our parents, teachers," said David.
"And all our friends who supported us. They mean the world to us and we wouldn't be where we are today without them," said James.
