Middletown, Connecticut (WTNH) - As investigators try to determine who was behind the wheel, asecond young has died from injuries in a Saturday night car crashin Middletown.
19-year old Nathan Bushnell, of Middletown, died Monday. He waswith three friends when the accident happened.
18-year old Ryan Weckesser, of Durham, was killed at the sceneof the crash.
A makeshift memorial continues to grow at the scene alongMiddlefield Road. Going there means seeing the skid marks that showhow the car hit the building. The impact sent the car rolling overbefore landing across the street. The force so strong, three wereejected from the flipping Ford Mustang.
Two young men in the car survived but are injured.
Samantha Cappello, a friend, told News Channel 8, “This happened and it’s just,it’s the last thing I would expect.”
Jason Aresco, a classmate and friend, said, “It’s ashame. I knew these kids. I grew up with them. Went to elementaryschool with Nate. All of a sudden he is gone. It’shorrible.”
19-year-old Francis Gervasio is listed in criticalcondition.
20-year-old Justin Conway is in stable condition.
Ryan Weckesser was a second semester freshman at MiddlesexCommunity College. Many students found out about his death whenthey went to classes Monday morning.
News Channel 8 was told grief counselors were on hand tohelp students cope with the suddent death.
The accident is still under investigation.
