New Haven (WTNH) - Kim DeYoung, the "Metromom," was back with us this morning withthree steps business owners and women entrepreneurs must take inorder to grow their business online and maximize their time andenergy.
Here are the Metromom's tips:
- Create Motivating Content to Build Relationships
"People do business with those thatthey've begun to develop a relationship with," said DeYoung. "So asthey begin to know you, and to like you, and to trust you, that'swhen they start to want to keep showing up at your site. They areyour prospect, they are your customer, so how do you communicateall of that to them? Through great quality content."
- Increase Visibility, Buzz & Revenue to Fuel Your Bottom Line
"I don't think it's an option now forwomen to have a website," DeYoung said. "I don't think it's aluxury, like it used to be. Now, I think it's a necessity. It's notextra, it's expected."
DeYoung recommends using socialnetworking to increase visibility and buzz. "It's one thing to havea great site with great content, but if nobody's really getting toit, it doesn't really matter," she said.
- Streamline Your Digital Back Office For More Ease & Impact
"The reality is, as business owners,we're probably at no shortage of ideas for the things that we wantto do in our business," said DeYoung. "You've got to have strongsystems so that you can work effectively, and also maintain yoursanity."
