NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) - The author of "Oasis in the Overwhelm," Millie Grenough, teaches us how to toss the stress aside!

Grenough gives tips on how to stay sane in a crazy world by giving yourself an oasis to toss your stress. 

Stress contributes to major illnesses and costs billions of dollars. It also affects our moods, energy, work, self-esteem and relationships, among several other things.  

But there are ways you can beat stress like physical activity, deep breathing/yoga and mindful meditation. Grenough explains more in the video above.
