NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- Traffic seems to have let up slightly, as Metro-North adds more diesel trains to its line up to get folks to work, but the problem hasn't been completely solved.
It's a train schedule with more than a few delays.
"When I came here it was 30 minutes, it moved up to 40 minutes," said Charles Williams, who was traveling to Boston.
There's a line that tells you where a train is going and a line that lets you know when and where it's supposed to arrive.
What isn't there is a time when the trains will be running normally again.
It's day three of a transportation fiasco impacting train arrivals and departures throughout the northeast.
It's not something you want if you're Williams, who's trying to get to his family to celebrate his birthday.
Unfortunately for him, his train's coming from Washington.
"I'm on Netflix right now, so that's what I'm doing," Williams said.
There are plenty of others like Williams who are being forced to wait.
"Now I have to be aware, otherwise I'll be sitting around for like an hour waiting for a train," said Avanti Reddy.
"I'm not home on time, I'm not at work on time," said Kizzie Artis.
Whether you're taking a train in New Haven, or at the train station in Bridgeport everyone says they have the same goal in mind; that they get to their destination on time and that they fix the rails.
