BRANFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- With a Nor'easter passing through the state, many folks along the coast say they've had enough of this wild weather.
Some say it's making it difficult for them to go to work.
DJ King has seen a lot of storms, but never has he seen water flow onto his Branford property like last week. His house was entirely surrounded by water, with waves crashing into his garage door, buckling under its force and almost sweeping him away.
"My son was on the other side and the waves were hitting me and washed me and luckily I grabbed a hold of his hand right there," King said.
King is leaving the sand bags where they are. As a lobsterman he knows the storms will keep coming and will continue to surprise him.
King was not only surprised by how high the water was during the storm, but he was also surprised by this snow. He was out on the water when it first started falling.
He says the sea smoke which rises when the snow hits the water made his job even more dangerous.
"At one point it got so...you couldn't see anything, it was so foggy and so smoky," said King. "The boat was engulfed in sea smoke."
Wednesday's storm came a little too soon for his liking. The seasoned lobsterman and shoreline resident is getting tired of the damage, the power outages, and the clean up.
"We're ready to move on, looking for some Spring," King said. "We've got a long way to go before we get there though."
