Darren Kramer

Darren Kramer anchors News 8 at 5pm, 5:30pm, 10pm, and 11pm.

Over the last three decades, Darren has anchored and reported the news in Chicago; St. Louis; Spokane; Springfield, MA; and Wausau, WI; but Connecticut keeps calling him home.

Darren was born and raised in the woods of northern Wisconsin, in the little town of Peshtigo. Peshtigo was the scene of America’s most disastrous forest fire, the great Peshtigo fire of 1871.

Darren and his wife Jill raised their two kids, Abby and Sam, along the Connecticut shoreline.

Along with spending time with his family, Darren loves the outdoors and shooting sporting clays.
