Hector Ramirez II graduated from the University of New Haven in 2016 with a degree in Investigate Services, B.S. and a minor in Communications and Psychology. From there, he pursued his dream to be a writer in the digital production and entertainment industry.
His passion for writing and video led him to Sacred Heart University where he earned a Master’s Degree in Digital Media & Journalism in 2018. During his graduate career, Hector has produced multiple visual projects including video profile pieces for the world famous Connecticut landmarks Stew Leonard’s and Pepe’s Pizzeria. He has also served as a Stage Manager for the 2018 SHU Media Exchange live event.
Hector joined WTNH News 8 in October 2018 as a Digital Producer and is grateful for the varied experiences the position has offered.
Along with WTNH, Hector frequently writes articles for Lords of Gaming Network and Comic Book Resources as a Freelance Writer. He wants to continue his professional endeavors in the entertainment industry (video games, film, television) with a focus on writing, production, and creative media.
When away from the News 8 studio, Hector loves to spend time with his family, play video games, or figuring out which novel to read next.
