Jillian Andrews joined the WTNH News 8 team in January 2023. She grew up in Central New York and began her journalism career at sister station WWLP in western Massachusetts. She’s excited to continue telling stories in New England.
Jillian spent two years at WWLP as a reporter and fill-in anchor. Her coverage in western Massachusetts often went across the border into Connecticut, including the Bristol Police shooting. She spent much of her time covering the aftermath of the pandemic shutdown.
Jillian earned a master’s degree in Broadcast and Digital Journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University. During her time in graduate school, she reported as a Summer News Associate for KOLR in Springfield, Missouri. Jillian received her undergraduate degree from St. Lawrence University in New York State. While in The North Country, she spent most of her time singing and acting while earning her degree in Performance Arts.
Outside of the station, you can find Jillian spending time with her family and her two Shih Tzus, Fluff and Little. She’s always ready to try a new restaurant. You can say hello to Jillian by connecting with her on Twitter or Instagram!
