Teresa Dufour

Teresa joined News 8 as the host of CT STYLE and Traffic Anchor in November of 2010, and is thrilled to be working in her home state since 2006.

Prior to working at a different Connecticut television station, prior to making the move to New Haven, Teresa spent two years in West Monroe, Louisiana at KTVE/KARD. She anchored the 5pm and 9pm newscasts there and had the opportunity to cover the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

Teresa’s roots bring her back to radio, where she started in Hartford working for a series of stations under Westwood One, after graduating from UCONN.

Since her start at News 8, Teresa has taken on a different role and her most important…Mom! She now focuses on producing and hosting CT STYLE Monday through Friday at 12:30 on WTNH.

Teresa lives in Middlebury with her husband Brandon, son Dante, daughter Angelina and their rescue pup Sydney.

Favorite memory / story from working in TV news?

Through my feature reporting, I’ve flown a plane, went a the blimp, suited up with CT’s only female football and roller derby teams, every day is an adventure!

What inspired you to work in news?

I have always wanted to tell a story.

What is your favorite restaurant in New Haven?

I don’t spend too much time in the city of New Haven, so lets say New Haven county…that would be La Tavola in Waterbury, get the gemelli!

Who is your favorite musician/band and/or best concert you ever been to?

Jay Z and Justin Timberlake at Yankee Stadium, does it get better than that? Im also a Biggie Smalls fan, unquestionably the greatest rapper of all time.

What’s the best dish you can make?

I’m all about Brunch, I put out a nice spread! Does that count?

If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?

I love Barcelona, I’d like to bring my children there once they’d appreciate it, maybe even live there. Santorini and Dubai are on my bucket list.

What’s something you don’t know about me?

I had a speech impediment for the first seven years of my life, so through elementary school I would miss music and art to learn how to talk properly, which is ironic since I talk for a living now!

What are your hobbies / hidden talents?

I can change and feed a baby in the dark and stick to a schedule like no ones business!
