'Fantasy of Lights' returns to New Haven Nov. 16 to Dec. 31

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) - It's a holiday tradition in New Haven, and it's back for another year of dazzling light displays!

News 8 is a proud sponsor of the annual Fantasy of Lights at Lighthouse Point Park in New Haven. Now in its 24th year, the event features more than 60 animated light displays, and over 100,000 bulbs coming together to make up the fun. You can enhance your experience with 3-D glasses, which bring up gingerbread men and other holiday-themed accompaniments too.

Members of the News 8 Team will flip the switch to kick off this year's Fantasy of Lights on Friday, November 16. You can enjoy the mile-long Fantasy of Lights displays from November 16 through December 31.

The Fantasy of Lights is open Sunday through Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. On Fridays and Saturdays, the gates are open from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.

Cost is $10 per car or family, $25 for a mini-bus, or $50 for a full-size bus. Proceeds go to benefit Goodwill of Southern New England. 3-D glasses are available for purchase at $2 per pair.
