Branford animal shelter taking bucket list ideas for dog with terminal cancer

The Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter in Branford is looking to give a very good girl an amazing few weeks.

Cali was taken in by the shelter after her family came upon difficult circumstances.

Shortly thereafter, workers learned that the pooch had terminal cancer, but she is still in good spirits!

The shelter is now dedicated to showing Cali a wonderful week. There are several activities already planned for her, including visiting the beach and going for ice cream.

Anyone with ideas for places to take Cali or who would like to send her items can do so!

In a post, the shelter said, “…It is our goal to let this precious girl know that she is cherished and adored. We have notified her previous family and have let them know that we will do everything in our power to make her comfortable and happy for as long as we can…Cali doesn’t have much time, but we are bound and determined to make sure she has so much fun while she is with us!”

For more information on Cali, head to the shelter’s Facebook page.
