Naugatuck students lend a helping hand

Children at Naugatuck’s Cross Street School are giving back to those in need.

In their Kindness Challenge, the boys and girls collected food and socks for those who needed it and a lot of toys for children for the Toy Closet at Yale-New Haven Hospital.

“So I heard that people were getting bullied in my school. I want the school to be a better place so I made up the kindness challenge”, says 6th grader Angelina Provenzana.

“We wanted to run a sock drive this winter break”, said 6th grader Kellen Maher.

The toys collected will be delivered to Yale-New Haven Hospital Friday.
