Safe trick-or-treating events for kids tonight

(WTNH) — If you’re looking for an alternative to trick-or-treating, or if your kids are still too young to go out in the neighborhoods, towns across Connecticut are hosting multiple events that allow children to trick-or-treat safely this Halloween.

Before sending your kids out to trick-or-treat, check out some of the events that are taking place in your area this Halloween:

  • Chesire — Trick-or-treating at all Chesire firehouses from 5:30-8:30pm
  • East Hampton — Pumpkintown trick-or-treating at 93 East Hight St. East Hampton, CT from 10:00am-5:00pm
  • Hartford — Police Department Halloween party from 4:00-7:00pm
  • Hartford — Governor Malloy will greet trick-or-treaters at his residence at 5:30pm
  • Madison — Trunk-or-treat the town green at 26 Meeting House Lane Madison, CT from 4:00-6:00pm
  • Manchester — Buckland Hills Mall trick-or-treating from 3:00-6:00pm
  • Milford — Connecticut Post Mall trick-or-treating at 4:00pm
  • New Britain — downtown district trick-or-treating event at 5:00pm
  • Oxford — Trunk-or-treat at Oxford High School from 6:00-7:30pm
  • Ridgefield — Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum trick-or-treating from 5:00-8:00pm
  • Southbury — Center firehouse trick-or-treating at 461 Main Street S Southbury, CT from 4:00-7:00pm
  • Waterford — Crystal Mall trick-or-treating from 6:00-8:00pm
  • Westbrook — Tanger Outlets trick-or-treating at 4:00pm
  • Willimantic — Trunk-or-treat on Main St. from 4:00-6:00pm
  • Windsor — Nightmare on Broad Street on the town green at 275 Broad Street Windsor, CT from 5:30-7:30pm
  • Woodbridge — Volunteer Fire Department Halloween party from 5:00-8:00pm
