NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) – “Pink in the Rink” Breast Cancer Awareness Night with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers on Saturday, Feb. 10 at 7pm.
Kaitlyn is a local breast cancer survivor, who works closely with the Connecticut Breast Health Initiative after her tremendous recovery. The CT Breast Health Initiative is the organization that will benefit from proceeds of ticket sales for that game.
The overall theme of Saturday, Feb. 10 is much bigger than the game itself. The Bridgeport Sound Tigers will celebrate “Pink in the Rink Night,” benefiting breast cancer awareness and research, in several ways. The team will honor and recognize breast cancer survivors throughout the game and a pre-game wine tasting will be held at Webster Bank Arena, with proceeds benefiting the Connecticut Breast Health Initiative. A limited number of ticket packages are still available that include a seat at the game, access to the tasting party and a wine glass for $30.
In addition, the Sound Tigers players and their families will be putting together gift baskets, which will be raffled off on the concourse during the game and proceeds will also go towards the Connecticut Breast Health Initiative.
