Celebrate Spring with The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk

CT Style

We are joined by Director of Marketing, Tina Tison and Aquarist, Kylie Williams of the Maritime Aquarium located in Norwalk to help you celebrate spring.

Celebrate Spring with the Maritime Aquarium for your April vacation. It is the perfect time to visit the Maritime Aquarium and check out their daily animal encounters. Maritime is also looking for volunteers of all ages to join them in hosting a Party For The Planet on April 28.

Twice a day, every day the Maritime Aquarium gives their guests the “meet and greet” opportunities with their animals outside of their exhibits.

Led by one of their animal experts, these 15-minute sessions are a way for guests to learn more about the animals, especially those animals where “up close” experiences are rare like tortoises, snakes, porcupines and skunks.

Upcoming Events:

  • Party For The Planet – A one-day volunteer “fun day.”  On the Sunday after Earth Day, April 28, they are hosting a hands-on event at Stratford Point to help clean and restore its shoreline environments.

Volunteers are needed to help plant marsh grass, remove invasive species, install deer fencing and clean the beach. Plus, expect special family fun, including live music, face-painting and more.

  • Apollo 11 in IMAX – In honor of the upcoming 50th anniversary of the moon landing, they will welcome a new IMAX movie on May 18 that will be part of their Spring and Summer movie line-up.  An IMAX movie is included with admission to the aquarium.  Click Here to check out the trailer.
