TORRINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) – Today we’re Cruisin’ Connecticut to Torrington, home of the Christmas Village! This year marks the village’s 69th year, bringing Christmas cheer to the community.
The seasonal spectacle draws annual crowds of 20,000 people, from across the state. The free guided adventure through the village includes a stop to see Santa. Every kid gets a gift from old Saint Nick, and then families meet the lady in his life: Mrs. Claus.
She’s checking over Santa’s list to see if you’ve been naughty or nice, and then you get to see the toy shop where all of Santa’s trinkets are crafted. The three elves, Skippy, Tippy and Elmer have been hard at work all year, and are ready for the big day on the 25th!
You can even meet Rudolph and crew before they take their flight to bring joy and gifts to the good people of Connecticut and beyond!
The Christmas Village is open from 1:00pm – 8:30pm, but visitors are invited to get there early, and there are usually lines to experience all of the merriment. The village is located at: 150 Church St, Torrington, CT 06790
