Cruisin’ Connecticut – A Historical Haunt with Ghosts of New Haven

Cruisin' Connecticut

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) – With Halloween just around the corner, today we’re Cruisin’ Connecticut to the Grove Street Cemetery, part of “Ghosts of New Haven.

The walking tour gives you spooky insight into some of the most haunted spots and stories in New Haven.

Psychic medium, Chrystyne McGrath explains the history behind the term “dead ringer”:

“The dead ringer stems from the 19th century. It’s when people were passing out from lead poisoning. If you buried that person, you would have a string attached to your wrist and it would go to the top of the grass attached to a bell.”

The mile long tour is 90 minutes long, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the mysterious atmosphere and haunted locations.

Go in search of the spirits of Noah Webster, Jimi Hendrix, Geronimo, Ezra Stiles, Roger Sherman, and other specters that haunt New Haven.
