Omni New Haven Hotel and John Davenport Restaurant just celebrated 20 years in New Haven!
We are joined the Director of Food & Beverage, Wayne Kirsten and Executive Chef, Todd Ruiz to tell you all about the upcoming fall promotion, Season of Smoke.
1. Eat – The culinary component – Inspired by Francis Mallmann’s book, The Seven Fires talking about the 7 different open flame cooking techniques. Chef Todd went to the Culinary Institute of America for R&D. Chef will prepare two small dishes
2. Drink – The beverage component – Pairing both contrasting (Merlot wine) and complimenting (Rye Whiskey Cocktail) with the food menu. Wayne will prepare one cocktail
3. View – The restaurant – John Davenports , the “Hidden Gem” of New Haven with the best views in town from the 19th floor of the Omni Hotel.
