In The Kitchen: Raising money for Autism Awareness Campaign

April is Autism Awareness Month and the Mystic Marriott Hotel and Spa is recognizing that with their campaign, ‘Lighting It Up Blue.’

Executive Chef Mark Vecchitto at Octagon along with Lisa Morganweck who is a volunteer with Horses Healing Humans and Program Director Deridre Desmarais of Horses Healing Humans Inc. gives us the details on how you can help.

Throughout the entire month $1 from each appetizer and $1 from each Blue Bird Cocktail will be donated to Autism Speaks.

The campaign has been happening for 10 years and you’ve raised more then $100,000. Mark your calendar for Saturday, April 13th from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. for blue pancakes. 

You will be entered to win a Mystic Marriott Refresher overnight stay package including overnight accommodations for two, dinner and breakfast for two in The Octagon Restaurant and $100 spa certificate.
