Today’s Dish: Remembering Marvel Comics Legend Stan Lee

Marvel fans all over the world are mourning the loss of comics creator and innovator Stan Lee.

Lee helped usher in a new era of superhero storytelling. He died at the age of 95 in a Los Angeles Hospital Monday. 

He created or helped create a string of iconic characters including Spider-Man, the Hulk, X-Men, Iron Man and Thor.

Get ready for the Thanksgiving travel rush. More than 54 million Americans will travel this holiday.

This is the highest volume since 2005. There will be 2.5 million more travelers will be on the roads than last years.

Experts predict drivers in San Francisco, New York and Boston will see the biggest holiday-related delays. 

The Fantasy of Lights at the Lighthouse Point Park in New Haven is gearing up for its opening night this Friday.

Crews and volunteers are putting the finishing touches on the 60 light displays that decorate the mile drive around the park. The popular holiday attraction is not only beautiful and it’s also for a good cause! 

News 8 is one of those proud sponsors. The Fantasy of Lights costs $10 per car. It opens this Friday night at 5:00 p.m. and will run through December 31. 

A pet friendly dorm is opening at Lock Haven University in Pennsylvania. This upcoming spring students will be able to keep their four legged friends right on campus. 

The dorm is the first of its kind in the Pennsylvania state system. Students says it helps them cope with stress. The university hopes it also will encourage more students to live on campus.
