Many of us think May Day as a celebration of Spring. But the national day calendar notes may first was actually the first day of summer in many ancient calendars.

Hartford Athletic is ready for its home opener. The team hosts Charlotte Independence on Saturday night at Rentschler Field. You can tune in Saturday, May 4 at 6:30 p.m. to MyTV9 to check out the game.

A local brewer is teaming up with a package store owner to help build a special ballfield along the shoreline.

Soundview Brewing Company of Old Lyme has brewed the Niantic Bay IPA just for this cause. It is being sold at Mermaid Liquors in Niatnic and a few other businesses in East Lyme.

The goal is to help raise the $500,000 needed for ‘A Miracle League Field.’

James Holzhauer is now tied for third longest winning streak on ‘Jeopardy’ and more than half way to the largest total winnings.

After much anticipation, the Jonas Brothers have announced that they are coming back to Connecticut on the Happiness Begins Tour later this year.

The band will be heading to the Mohegan Sun Arena on August 21st. Other stops on the muti-city tour include Massachusetts and New York. 

The tour features special guests Bebe Rexha and Jordan McGraw. They announce these dates on the heels of their new album coming out on June 7. Tickets go on sale on May 10 to the public.
