You should treat yourself today. A Chicago woman who calls herself “America’s premier eventologist” came up with the unofficial holiday back in 1994.

A study suggests dogs learned to use their “puppy eyes” through evolution. According to researchers, a specific muscle causes a dogs’ inner-eyebrow to raise and that makes their eyes appear bigger. 

The scientists believe dogs do it specifically to get a reaction out of humans. Researchers say
canines adapted the expression as they became domesticated more than 33,000 years ago.

Ikea wants you to help put together well-being. The Swedish company is offering to pay you to research happiness for two weeks in September in Denmark’s capital Copenhagen.

The company says the idea is to get an outside perspective on why Denmark is frequently rated as one of the world’s happiest countries. Those interested are invited to upload a one minute video to apply.
