New Haven, CT (WTNH) – CT Style Host Natasha Lubczenko recently spoke with Dr. Necolle Morgado-Vega, Medical Director of the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit at the Milford Campus of Bridgeport Hospital.

She spoke about how their intensive programs focus on individualized care with the goal of providing recovery and improved function for patients after they’ve been through a traumatic event, or have a chronic condition, or have been in the hospital for a long amount of time.

Dr. Morgado-Vega answers the following questions:

  • How long do most patients stay at your in-patient program?
  • How many hours of therapy do most patients receive?
  • What are the different disciplines within your unit?
  • Why would patients choose to recover at this facility vs. other ones?
  • Do your therapists work with patients’ families?
