NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) – Meaghan Murphy, author of “Your Fully Charged Life,” recently joined Connecticut’s Morning Buzz Host Natasha Lubczenko in the studio, to share some tips on how to fully charge our health.

To start, Meaghan talks about how to improve your chances of staying healthy during “sick season,” this winter. She says, “Vitamin D is crucially important for boosting our immunity and helping our bodies fight germs. And here’s the thing – we naturally get that Vitamin D from the sun, but on these darker winter days, that’s not happening, right? So, things like taking a Vitamin D supplement – I take one every single day -and eating things like fatty fish –  think salmon – are going to help you keep at those optimum levels.”

She adds, “And here’s the really, cool thing. Vitamin D also affects your teeth, right? So, if you have sufficient D, you’re going to absorb minerals and calcium and phosphorus. Apparently, it helps keep your teeth and bones strong.” “My daughter actually taught me that, because she is so into her smile, she does her Vitamin D, and she’s also with Spark Aligners.”

Meahgan says, “I love being a spokesperson for them because they are more clear, they are more comfortable, they stain less than the other leading aligner brands, and they’re doctor-directed, so you really know you’re going to get those reliable results.” “100% of patients, my daughter included, would recommend them to a friend, because of just how seamlessly they fit into your life. And the thing is, my daughter’s case is pretty complex.” “I know that with Spark, she’s going to gain that confidence, and get that true smile, because she’s 13, and during these teen years, that is very comforting to me, as a mom.”
