Disney has released the first trailer for their live-action adaptation of the popular 1994 animated movie “The Lion King” on Thursday night.

The live-action, CGI remake features the voices of Donald Glover as Simba, Beyonce Knowles-Carter as Nala and James Earl Jones reprising his role as the voice of Mufasa from the original film.

The trailer shows iconic scenes based on the animated film but with its new, life-like visuals. Fans can take a look at Pride Rock and a few characters including Rafiki and the young and older version of the film’s protagonist, Simba in the latest teaser trailer.

The new version of the “The Lion King” will hit theaters in July of 2019.
