CMA Awards 2017 complete winners list

Music

(ABC News) — A who’s who of country superstars packed the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn. Wednesday evening, hoping to take home trophies at the 2017 CMA Awards.

Chris Stapleton and Miranda Lambert were honored as male and female vocalist of the year, respectively, while Garth Brooks took home the trophy for entertainer of the year.

Taylor Swift’s name was also called as the winner of song of the year, as she penned Little Big Town’s hit, “Better Man.” The band accepted the award in her honor, as Swift is in New York City for “Saturday Night Live” rehearsals.

“I LOVE YOU @littlebigtown and CMAs,” she tweeted.

Two awards were announced before the broadcast: musical event of the year, which was won by the late Glen Campbell with Willie Nelson; and music video of the year, which went to Brothers Osborne for “It’s Ain’t My Fault,” which was directed by Wes Edwards and Ryan Silver.Related Content: Carrie Underwood, Paisley celebrating a decade as CMA hosts
