Hussle spoke publicly about his involvement in one of the biggest Crips gangs in LA.

He scheduled meetings with LA’s police chief so see how he could help develop programs for under-served children to keep them away from violence.

The organizer of Monday’s event, Carlos Burgos, hopes to keep his spirit of public service alive.

“We brought all of these people together. Some of these people have had problems in the past. We came together to make this happen. We’re trying to unify everybody – rappers, gang members, anyone with anger in their heart we’re trying to release all of that – show compassion and kindness,” he said.
