UConn music professor, trumpeter win Grammys


A UConn music professor is now a Grammy winner!

UConn tweeted on Sunday night that Kenneth Fuchs took home a Grammy in the category of “best classical compendium.”

Fuchs composed the album “Piano Concerto Spiritualist” for the London Symphony Orchestra.

It was the professor’s fourth nomination for a Grammy and his first win! 

UConn trumpeter, Louis Hanzlik, also took home a Grammy as a member of the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, which won for Best Jazz Instrumental Album.
