Doctors seeing an increase in cosmetic surgeries since the pandemic

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) – During COVID, remote communications like video conferencing and Zoom changed the way people see each other and themselves.

For some, the image of themselves during a Zoom call can be uncomfortable and unsettling and it’s actually driving more people to pursue plastic surgery.

Dr. Elizabeth Stirling Craig, a microvascular surgeon at Saint Vincent’s Medical Center is discussing the uptick in cosmetic surgery.
