WEST HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — A collaboration between multiple Hispanic agencies brought together entrepreneurs on Thursday to connect and learn from each other.

“We realize that a huge portion of our success as Hispanic Americans is our business population,” said Joseph Rodriguez, the president of the board for Puerto Ricans United.

The event in West Haven was a collaboration between the Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals, the Puerto Rican Festival of New Haven and the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce.

News 8 is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month throughout September. A full special will be aired at 5:30 p.m. Sunday on WTNH.
