Annual fire department Christmas tree sale in Windsor Locks canceled due to shortage

WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. (WTNH) — The Christmas tree shortage is hitting the town of Windsor Locks.

The fire department announced Tuesday it is canceling its annual Christmas tree sale. In a social media post, they said they just couldn’t find enough trees.

In lieu of the sale, they’ll sell kissing balls and cemetery logs. They say they hope to see everyone next year.
