Hundreds of bags of food will soon be in the hands of families in New Haven just in time for Thanksgiving.
Employees from BlumShapiro and their families put those bags together Saturday.
They did it to help Christian Community Action.
The bags that were assembled will go to senior citizens, families in need and those who are disabled.

“We have estimated 1200 but we are making preparations for 1500 because there is also a need people express during the distribution”, says Rev. Bonita Grubbs of Christian Community Action.
“We are trying to get as many of these food items in a bag and ready to ship out to get to the seniors in the area and those picking them up a couple day before Thanksgiving”, said Tom DeVitto of BlumShapiro.
