It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Mystic!

MYSTIC, Conn. (WTNH) — The 2020 Mystic Christmas tree and the Old Mystic Village light display were put up Wednesday.

The tree was raised in place by the Mystic Shipyard with Noank Electric helping string the lights.

This year, there is no Santa arriving by tugboat or holiday boat parade, but the tree is expected to keep the holiday spirit alive.

In Old Mystic Village, the light displayed of more than half a million lights was flipped on to draw shoppers to dozens of stores.

People are encouraged to come to Mystic and shop local.
