Rockefeller Christmas tree begins lighting for the holidays


 America’s most famous Christmas tree in New York will be lit up starting Wednesday!

The Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center down in the big apple is a 65-year-old Norway Spruce.

It’s 72-feet tall, weighs 12 tons, and comes from Walkill, New York.

The lights will start shining around 9 p.m. Wednesday night.

Rockefeller Center has displayed a tree every year since 1931.
