Sen. Blumenthal pardons ‘Dr. Fauci the Turkey’ at Stew Leonard’s in Newington

NEWINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) — Senator Richard Blumenthal pardoned a turkey at Stew Leonard’s in Newington on Wednesday.

The turkey was named after Dr. Anthony Fauci and will live out his remaining days in happiness on a Connecticut turkey farm.

The practice of pardoning a turkey is usually a presidential function and dates back to the days of President Abraham Lincoln.
