1 hurt after vehicle strikes East Hartford dollar store

Police in East Hartford said one person was hurt after a vehicle struck a building on Monday evening.

According to officials, around 5:10 p.m., a woman crashed into the Family Dollar in the area School Street.

Police said an investigation determined that the woman’s foot was stuck on the pedal, causing the crash.

One juvenile was hurt after they were struck by a shelf in the store that was damaged from the impact of the vehicle. They were transported to a local hospital with a non-life threatening injuries.

No charges have been filed at this time.
