2 arrests made in October shooting, stabbing in Windham

News

Two people were arrested for attempted murder after allegedly shooting and stabbing someone in Windham last year.

Connecticut State Police say that back on October 16th, just after 8:30 p.m., troopers responded to a shooting at 277 Bricktop Road, after a neighbor in that apartment building heard a disturbance followed by a gunshot in the apartment above his.

The neighbor then found the victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the chest in the common hallway.  The victim was taken to Windham Hospital before being transported by Life Star helicopter to Hartford Hospital

It was determined that the victim had suffered a gunshot wound to the chest, as well as a stab wound to the abdomen.

Troopers were able to identify one suspect as 20-year-old Alexander James Santana, of Uncasville. He was arrested back in November on several charges including attempted murder, robbery and assault.

After an investigation, a second suspect was developed. On Friday, that suspect, 18-year-old Corianna Jenkins, was also arrested in connection to the shooting and stabbing. She too was arrested on several charges including attempted murder, robbery and assault

Santana was held on $250,000 bond and Jenkins was held on a $1 million bond.
