2 lanes reopen on I-84 west in Cheshire after car fire


CHESHIRE, Conn. (WTNH) — The two right lanes on Interstate 84 westbound in Cheshire have reopened following a car fire early Wednesday morning.

For a period of time, officials say the car fire had closed the two right lanes on I-84 westbound between exits 28 and 26.

The Connecticut Department of Transportation reported that the car fire on the highway has been cleared.

Connecticut State Police say no one was injured in the accident.

There is no word on the cause of this accident.
