Connecticut police have charged a second person in connection with the theft of a safe containing more than $100,000 worth of precious metals and cash.

The Bristol Press reports that 30-year-old Samantha Janulawicz, of Bristol, was charged Tuesday with conspiracy and weapons offenses in connection with the theft Christmas Eve from a Burlington home.

Her arrest warrant says Janulawicz told a Bristol man suspected of stealing the safe when the home’s occupants would be out. Janulawicz’s relatives live in the home and she was with them at a Christmas party at the time.

The victim told police the safe contained about $90,000 worth of gold and silver bars and coins and up to $14,000 in cash.

Janulawicz was held on $37,500 bond. No defense attorney was listed in court records.
