3 arrests made in the September assault, robbery of bicyclist in Milford

Three arrests were made in Milford after a victim was knocked off of his bicycle and robbed back in September.

Police say on September 27th at around 2 a.m., officers responded to Buckingham Avenue, near New Haven Avenue, to investigate a robbery.

The victim was allegedly riding his bicycle when he was approached by people who were in a motor vehicle. They then knocked the victim off of his bike, which caused him to suffer serious physical injuries.

The victim was also then robbed of personal items and $3,000 in cash.

On October 9th, police conducted a motor vehicle stop of the suspect vehicle and an investigation led to the arrest of the people accused of committing the robbery.

Jacob Marrero, 19, of Bridgeport, was charged with robbery, assault, larceny, and conspiracy to commit robbery. He was released on a Promise to Appear in court on January 2nd.

Carlos Marrero, 25, of Bridgeport, was charged with robbery, assault, larceny, criminal mischief and driving the wrong way. He has already appeared in court but is scheduled to appear again on December 12th.

The third suspect is a juvenile. Their identity and charges will not be released because they are underage.
