3 NY men charged with attempting to obtain fraudulent prescription from Glastonbury CVS

Three New York men were arrested on Tuesday for allegedly trying to obtain a fraudulent prescription from a Glastonbury CVS Pharmacy.

Police say that at around 5:30 p.m., officers responded to the CVS Pharmacy at 766 New London Turnpike, for the report of a man attempting to obtain a fraudulent prescription.

Upon arrival, officers approached two men outside of the store, before they ran away.

One man was chased by an officer into the Monaco Ford’s Sales lot where he was taken into custody, while the other man got into a car in the parking lot, where a driver was waiting.

That vehicle then fled south on New London Turnpike before another officer located it turning on to Hale Road and subsequently abandoned at the end of Montano Road, where it got stuck in the snow.

Police say they were able to then follow footprints in the snow into the woods along Route 2. A Wethersfield Police K9 assisted in this track and the two other suspects were found and taken into custody.

As a result, 27-year-old Marlon Lissade, 27-year-old Mark L. Smith, and 27-year-old Kirk S. McGowan, all from Bronx, New York, were each arrested.

Lissade was charged with Conspiracy to Obtain a Controlled Drug by Fraud, Criminal Trespass and Interfering with an Officer/Resisting Arrest.

Smith was charged with Obtaining a Controlled Drug by Fraud, Conspiracy to Obtain a Controlled Drug by Fraud and Interfering with an Officer/Resisting Arrest.

McGowan was charged with Conspiracy to Obtain a Controlled Drug by Fraud and Interfering with an Officer/Resisting Arrest.

All three were held on $50,000 bond.
