Police say the scene is just three blocks away from where a shooting happened overnight in the area of Munson Street and Winchester Avenue.

Officials believe the recent spike in violence is due to warmer weather.  “I don’t even have a number, that’s how awful this is,” said Ofc. Dave Hartman, referring to the outbreak in violence.  “I can’t really put a number to it.”

It is not known at this time if the incidents are related.

The victims’ identities have not been released at this time.

“I definitely want people to put the guns down and talk it out with words,” said New Haven resident Kyle Godin.
